Preventative Dental Care
Preventative dental care is an important part of your child’s oral health and overall well-being. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends your child have their first dental check-up by the age of one or when their first tooth comes in. This allows our team to make sure your child’s smile continues to grow strong and healthy. In addition to routine dental cleanings and exams, we also prioritize patient education and provide at-home hygiene tips. We enjoy discussing with our families ways to step up oral care at home to ensure your child’s teeth and gums remain clean and free of cavities. In helping protect your child’s smile, we also offer protective dental sealants and fluoride treatments to keep tooth decay at bay.
Restorative Dental Care
The goal of restorative dental care is to repair damaged or decayed teeth. At Central Park Pediatric Dentistry, our team is able to protect and preserve the structure and function of your child’s tooth with crowns and tooth colored fillings. Crowns are tooth-shaped caps that our experts place over top of the damaged teeth to help strengthen and support them. Your child may need a crown if they have a broken or chipped tooth. It can help support a weak tooth, prevent further decay or to protect the tooth after a pulpotomy (similar to a root canal). Our team utilizes tooth-colored fillings to seal cavities to prevent further decay. We use a material that is natural and blends in with your child’s tooth so it is unnoticeable.

We believe if you know what to do when an accident happens, you are able to navigate the situation with ease and calmness.
